Most Clubhouse programs start small, developing their scope and size over time. Thus, we initially opened the Seattle Clubhouse by offering limited services (9am - 2 pm) in a temporary location, at Operation Nightwatch, (302 14th Ave S, Seattle, WA 98144) a shelter triage center that is only used in the evenings from 5-11pm. During that period, we continued preparations to launch a full-service Clubhouse by May of 2018 when we arrived at our current new Cafe’ like space at 1265 S Main St, Suite 101, Seattle 98144. At that time, the Clubhouse began a work-ordered program Tuesday and Thursday, 9am - 2pm, and by August, opened 5 days per week open 9-5 and served lunch (prepared by members), arranged social activities on one weekend day and one evening, offered supportive employment opportunities, provided supported education, and incorporated most other components of a Clubhouse working toward meeting International Standards. We are now officially on the registry of Clubhouse International.
