Because people with mental illnesses are at greater risk for diabetes and coronary artery disease, we are committed to supporting our member’s wellness goals, by promoting healthy lifestyle choices both in and outside of the clubhouse.
Our affordable, $2.00, daily lunches are prepared by members and staff. Lunches are healthy and served with salad and other vegetables. We typically serve two vegetarian meals per week.
Members have the opportunity to participate in our wellness walks and runs. In addition, we offer a few minutes of stretching at the end of our a.m. and p.m. unit meetings, as well as a short meditation.
Additionally, we can help link members to smoking cessation programs as well as other health programs in the community.
