WORK-ORDERED DAY
THE 9 TO 5
The Work-Ordered Day is designed around the typical work schedule.
We have two meetings a day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon where members and staff volunteer to do certain tasks and projects side by side.
The Clubhouse environment and structures are developed in a way to ensure that there is ample opportunity for human interaction and that there is more than enough work to do.

HOSPITALITY UNIT
Having one unit, the Hospitality Unit is a hybrid of hospitality and business units.
The following tasks are part of this unit:

Cooking and baking

Menu planning
-
Grocery shopping
-
Preparing meals
-
Clean-up and dishwashing
-
Organizing and restocking the Snack Bar

Keeping track of inventory
-
Depositing revenue
-
Operating the cash register
-
Primary event coordination for Special Events

Business Unit Tasks:
-
Statistics for Medicaid
-
Basic Computing including database input, spreadsheets and internet use
-
Managing the IT needs of the clubhouse including: e-mail access, server, printers, copiers, etc.

Enrollment of new members
-
Production of the Seattle Clubhouse newsletter
-
Reception area responsibilities
-
Creating and maintaining new documents
-
Copying, filing and collating
-
Maintenance of the unit, including: Media Center, Business Unit and Bathrooms
-
Clubhouse Virtual Resource Center (CVRC including a Library and Media Center)
-
Manages event announcements, weekly cards, birthday and celebration cards and clubhouse mailings.
