Black History Month

The past few weeks at Clubhouse have been fun. Now that I work I’m not here as much, so I don’t really have my finger on the pulse like I used to. Still, I’ve got the gist of what’s going on. For instance, I know that we are honoring Black History Month. Each week of February our lunch menu features a biography of and/or a quote by a Black hero or she-ro. This week it’s Miles Davis.

I also know that we’ve acquired some new books. Member Jim Charles (whose birthday happens to be today- Happy Birthday Jim) donated a few bags of books. We managed to stay open in the aftermath of the snow storm, though we closed a bit early on Monday. It’s amazing to know that just at the beginning of this week the sidewalks were covered in snow.

Busy Week
